Household Hazardous Waste Round-Up August 1 – August 31:  Items may be dropped off at the Service Garage, 100 Solon Road, between 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday (no after-hours drop off).The following can be dropped off: Oil or solvent based paint, sealers, primers, or coatings - Varnishes, polyurethanes, shellacs - Paint thinner, mineral spirits, turpentine - Pesticides, herbicides, fungicides - caustic household cleaners – automotive fluids, motor oil, car batteries - adhesives, roof tar, driveway sealer - kerosene, gasoline, lighter fluid - mercury.CFL - Compact fluorescent bulbs are not accepted in our round-up, they should be turned in at ... read more

Chipper Service Chipper service will be the weeks of April 2, May 7, June 4, July 2, August 6, September 3 and October 1, 2018.All items need to be on the curb and called into the Service Department before the start of brush pick up that month.  We will not add addresses once pick up has begun that month.  Place branches on tree lawn with cut end facing the street. Ellenwood Project Due to a construction project at Ellenwood Center, the Parks and Recreation Department offices are temporarily at City Hall.  The project is expected to conclude in late spring or early summer.  Until then, Ellenwood Center will be closed and registration will take place at City Hall during normal City Hall business hours, Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  ... read more

Anyone with expired or unused prescription pills can dispose of their medication in the Pill Drop Box 24/7. PILLS ONLY. No needles or liquids.Prescription opiates are often the gateway to heroin addiction. Prescription opiates are commonly found in many medicine cabinets. It is vital that old prescriptions be properly disposed to keep one's family safe.
