The Parks & Recreation Department is sponsoring the Downtown Bedford Alliance First Friday event in September. Join us on Friday, September 6 on the square for a Chalk Art Festival and Movie Night, centered around the movie The Wizard of Oz.
Events begin at 6:00 p.m. with chalk art with a “yellow brick road” theme, accompanied by music by folk artists, Castle Garden. Kids of all ages are encouraged to bring their creativity and have fun! The featured movie, The Wizard of Oz, will start after dusk. The movie will be shown on a large inflatable screen, courtesy of FunFlicks Outdoor Movies. Did you know that 2019 marks the 80th anniversary of the classic film?
The event will include free hotdogs and drinks, as well as other concession items for sale. We hope to see you there!
