March First Friday – March for Art

MarMarch 1 2019

Art is part of the fabric of Bedford.  From native son Archibald Willard’s fierce Spirit of ‘76 to adopted son Richard Sedlon and his impish Pooka’s who have inspired generations of whimsical artists and artisans, it is an integral part of the ongoing story of Bedford.

Join the Bedford Downtown Alliance in celebrating that ongoing story on the VERY 1st FIRST FRIDAY in Bedford, Friday, March 1, 2019 as we showcase the artwork of the next generation of Bedford artists.

On that evening, Bedford businesses will become art galleries displaying the unique creations of students from:

Bedford High School
Heskett Middle School
Columbus Intermediate
Carylwood Intermediate
Carylwood Primary

To top off the evening, local musical acts will perform at various locations and tasty treats will be provided. To express the artistic community that is Bedford, you will be invited to tap into your creative self and contribute to a piece of community artwork in the middle of town – no artistic ability is required – just your participation!
