Any Bedford Ward 5 resident interested in serving as the Council member, please submit a letter of interest and a brief background of yourself to Tracy Simons, Clerk of Council, City of Bedford 165 Center Road, Bedford, OH 44146 or email tsimons@bedfordoh.gov by February 8, 2021 at 4:30 p.m.
Minimum requirements and qualifications:
- Attend all Council meetings not limited to the regularly scheduled 1st & 3rd Mondays of every month
- Continue to be a resident of the Ward from which they were elected or appointed
- Ward resident for at least six months
- Shall have had and to continue qualifications of an elector
- No member of Council shall be directly or indirectly interested in any contract, job, work or service
- Term to begin upon appointment
