Winter Storm

In preparation of the upcoming winter storm, City Crews have been working to remove some of the excess snow throughout town, especially in the Historic District, cul-de-sacs and dead-end streets.  We have also been communicating with business owners and residents regarding the importance of keeping the sidewalks clear as much as possible.

Please remember:

  • Check any outside drains on your property to ensure they are free of debris, snow and ice.
  • Clear the snow covering any vents coming from the side or back of your house. If they are blocked, dangerous levels of CO could build up in your home.
  • Please work to keep your sidewalks clear.
  • In the event you experience a power outage, it is important that customers call CEI to report their power outage:  Please call 1-888-LIGHTSS (544-4877).

As things begin to unfold on Wednesday, City crews will be in working around the clock.  In regards to snow removal, the primary focus throughout the storm will be in the following order: the main roadways, secondary streets followed by the side streets.  We are anticipating significant snow accumulations and as a result the City is implementing a parking ban on all city streets.  The parking ban will be in effect beginning Wednesday, February 2nd at 5pm and will remain in effect until Friday, February 4th at 5pm.   Please do not park on city streets during this time, this is for the safety of other motorists, the plow trucks and pedestrians.

Please stay tuned to Cleveland, OH (weather.gov) for updates and try to plan ahead!

Thank you and please stay safe.
