Bedford’s Economic Development Department is here to help whether you need a small retail space in Bedford’s Historic District or 10 acres in Bedford’s Tinkers Creek Commerce Park. With over 1,800 employers, Bedford is home to the 24 new and used car dealerships, collectively known as the Bedford Automile.

Bedford has countless geographic advantages including unparalleled access to both I-271 and I-480 within less than a 3 miles radius, the Norfolk Southern and Cleveland Commercial Railway lines, and access  to regional and international airports within a 45 minute drive.

Bedford works with local, county, state and national resources and programs to connect new and existing businesses with tools and incentives to best fit their needs. The City works in partnership with public and private organizations to enhance local capacity and provide resources that supports planning, and community and economic development activities.

The Economic Development Department has a number of programs that will assist you in your success. The City’s overall development program is designed to assist and refer programs to residents and businesses alike. The City provides avenues of resources to make your investment in Bedford. In partnership with other agencies, the City is able to offer various grants and loan programs by participating in the Cuyahoga County Urban County Program. The City is willing to provide technical assistance and offer site referrals and visits to potential investors.
