The UH Bedford Medical Center is need of volunteers to work in clerical positions, guide patients and their families to appointments, and deliver magazines, newspapers and puzzles to the patient’s rooms. Visit the UH Bedford Medical Center website for more information.
Recreation Volunteer Coaching- The Recreation Department relies on volunteer coaches at all levels to coordinate each team. If you or anyone you know is interested in coaching a youth sports team please indicate so at the time of registration or contact the Recreation Department at 440-735-6570. Interested volunteer coaches can also submit an email to Mike Callahan, Assistant Director at mcallahan@bedfordoh.gov.
Volunteer coach applicants are required to complete a Volunteer Application, concussion certification, Lindsay’s Law compliance, and background check.
The Bedford Downtown Alliance is a group of dedicated Bedford business owners and residents who want to revitalize and restore our amazing Downtown. Over the next year, you will see us at events and around the Downtown area working on projects and asking for your help, either through volunteering or financial support. The American Red Cross has a great need for volunteers including:
- Disaster Action Team Members respond to local disasters and provide immediate assistance, including shelter, food and comfort following a home fire or other emergency.
- Volunteer Drivers transport and deliver lifesaving donated blood.
- Donor Ambassadors welcome donors and take their temperature before entering a blood drive.
- Service to the Armed Forces volunteers offer support to military members, veterans, and their families.
